Blink-182 and PAC-MAN came together at San Diego Comic-Con for an interactive arcade experience that brought two iconic names into one branded environment.
Coffee House Industries helped bring the Blink-182 × PAC-MAN activation to life through custom fabrication, large-format printing, vinyl wrapping, signage, and custom neon elements. From the surrounding walls to the arcade machines themselves, each piece worked together to transform the booth into an immersive experience built for the Comic-Con floor.
And once the doors opened, attendees lined up to experience it for themselves.
Bringing the Blink-182 × PAC-MAN Activation to Life
A successful experiential activation has to do more than look good. It needs to translate a creative concept into a physical environment that works in the real world.
For the Blink-182 × PAC-MAN Comic-Con activation, that meant creating an arcade-inspired space where the fabrication, graphics, games, signage, and lighting all felt like parts of the same experience.
Coffee House Industries fabricated the custom walls that defined the space while producing printed graphics and signage that carried the Blink-182 × PAC-MAN collaboration throughout the booth.
Existing arcade equipment was incorporated directly into the design. Claw machines and PAC-MAN games received custom vinyl wraps, transforming functional equipment into branded elements of the activation.
What Did Coffee House Industries Fabricate for the Blink-182 × PAC-MAN Activation?
Coffee House Industries provided multiple production and fabrication elements for the Comic-Con booth, including:
- Custom fabricated walls
- Large-format printed graphics
- Custom signage
- Vinyl wrapping for claw machines and arcade games
- Custom neon character signs
- Production support to bring the physical environment together
Handling multiple elements of an experiential build under one roof helps maintain consistency across the finished space while simplifying the process of taking a creative concept from design to installation.
Custom Neon Signs Bring the Characters to Life
One of the standout features of the activation was a collection of custom neon signs featuring Blink-182’s PAC-MAN-inspired characters.
The illuminated characters became focal points within the booth, combining imagery from both brands into something immediately recognizable to fans.
They also served an important purpose within the overall environment. On a convention floor filled with competing visuals, lighting and dimensional signage can help an activation stand out from a distance and draw attendees toward the space.
Combined with the custom graphics, wrapped arcade machines, and fabricated environment, the neon helped turn the booth into a destination rather than simply another branded footprint.
Creating an Interactive Experience at San Diego Comic-Con
Comic-Con is one of the most visually competitive event environments in the world. Thousands of attendees move through spaces filled with major entertainment properties, elaborate booths, exclusive merchandise, and interactive experiences.
Getting noticed is only the beginning.
A successful Comic-Con activation also needs to give attendees a reason to stop, enter, interact, and remember the experience afterward.
The Blink-182 × PAC-MAN booth combined recognizable characters with playable arcade elements and a fully branded physical environment. Throughout the event, attendees lined up outside the activation to get inside and experience it.
For an experiential build, seeing a crowd form around the finished space is one of the clearest signs that the physical environment is doing its job.
Why Custom Fabrication Matters for Branded Activations
Experiential fabrication is the process of turning a creative idea into a physical, functional environment.
For activations like Blink-182 × PAC-MAN, that can involve several different production disciplines working together: scenic fabrication, printing, graphics, signage, lighting, finishing, and installation.
The goal isn’t simply to manufacture individual pieces. It’s to make sure those pieces feel like they belong together once they reach the event floor.
For this project, custom walls established the environment, printed graphics created visual continuity, wrapped arcade machines extended the branding onto interactive elements, and custom neon provided recognizable focal points.
Together, those elements created one cohesive experience.
Experiential Fabrication for Comic-Con and Branded Events
The Blink-182 × PAC-MAN activation is an example of what can happen when fabrication, graphics, signage, and interactive elements are approached as parts of the same environment.
At Coffee House Industries, we work with agencies, producers, brands, and creative teams to fabricate experiential environments for events, brand activations, trade shows, pop-ups, entertainment launches, and other live experiences.
Our role is to take ambitious creative concepts and determine how to make them real, functional, and ready for an audience.
For Blink-182 × PAC-MAN at San Diego Comic-Con, that meant helping transform a convention booth into a custom arcade experience—and creating a space attendees couldn’t wait to step inside.
