Coffee House Industries Builds the First McLaren x Allwyn “Scratch Car” in Collaboration with Designer Florian Weber

Las Vegas, NV (November 19, 2025) — Coffee House Industries partnered with McLaren Racing and Allwyn to fabricate the world’s first full-scale McLaren x Allwyn “Scratch Car” for its high-profile launch at the LINQ Promenade in Las Vegas. The activation transformed a full-size F1 show car into a fully interactive scratch-off installation featuring 970 custom panels, designed by artist and designer Florian Weber. This project became one of the most innovative experiential builds showcased during F1 festivities in Las Vegas.

From Concept to Completion

Coffee House Industries oversaw the entire fabrication process, producing a display-ready Scratch Car built for durability, precision, and visual impact. The project required large-format printing, precision cutting, detailed alignment, and long hours of assembly to ensure each scratch-off panel fit perfectly across the F1 body.

Designer Florian Weber led the artistic construction while the fabrication team handled structure, engineering, and layout to bring the concept from design to a full-scale physical installation.

Engineering a Scratchable Surface

A major challenge of the McLaren x Allwyn Scratch Car was developing a scratchable coating system that preserved the integrity of the thin, paper-like material beneath the paint. Coffee House Industries engineered a custom finishing method through multiple rounds of testing, ensuring that every panel scratched cleanly while maintaining the car’s shape and stability.

This process was led by Abigail, one of Coffee House’s project managers and artists, supported by our scenic and paint departments who masked, sprayed, and detailed each of the 970 squares with precision.

Las Vegas Reveal at the LINQ Promenade

The completed Scratch Car was transported to the LINQ Promenade on the Las Vegas Strip, where it became the centerpiece of the McLaren x Allwyn fan activation during F1 week. Surrounded by LED video walls and immersive lighting, the installation drew crowds and media attention throughout the event.

F1 driver Oscar Piastri officially kicked off the experience by scratching the first panel in front of fans and press, unveiling the activation and marking the world’s first interactive F1 Scratch Car reveal.

A High-Pressure Build With a Strong Finish

With a tight timeline and a completely unique concept, this activation showcased Coffee House Industries’ ability to deliver high-complexity experiential builds on schedule. The Scratch Car demonstrates the company’s strengths in custom fabrication, scenic finishing, interactive display engineering, and experiential design for large-scale brand activations.

Bold concepts, fast turnarounds, and high-stakes environments are where Coffee House Industries excels — transforming challenging ideas into polished, real-world installations.

Jordan Brand “Pearl” Activation at Little White Chapel Las Vegas

Coffee House Industries built Jordan Brand’s “Pearl” activation at Little White Chapel Las Vegas — a floral, women-focused experience in experiential design and fabrication.

A Floral, Female-Focused Experience Built by Coffee House Industries

When Jordan Brand unveiled the Air Jordan XI “Pearl” in Las Vegas, they reimagined the city’s iconic Little White Chapel as a one-of-a-kind experience celebrating women, creativity, and craftsmanship. Coffee House Industries was selected to fabricate, transport, and install every part of the activation — transforming the venue into a visually stunning environment that perfectly matched Jordan’s bold design story.

From Fabrication to Installation: A Floral Transformation in Las Vegas

Built entirely by Coffee House Industries, the Jordan “Pearl” installation featured custom floral structures, scenic builds, and activation-ready display pieces fabricated in our Los Angeles facility. Our crew traveled to Las Vegas with all materials and completed the full setup in just a few hours — a testament to the precision, planning, and speed our clients rely on.

Guests were welcomed into an immersive space filled with lush floral installations, glowing signage, and a DJ booth, creating a warm, celebratory atmosphere. Attendees also enjoyed interactive shoe customization stations, highlighting Jordan’s innovative spirit while connecting fans directly to the story behind the “Pearl” collection.

Precision, Speed, and Creative Execution

This activation was completed over the course of one week, from fabrication to transport and final on-site build. Despite a demanding schedule that included multiple projects across Las Vegas that same weekend, Coffee House Industries delivered a flawless, on-time installation.
Every detail — from floral support structures and scenic elements to lighting integration and finishing — was handled in-house by our expert fabrication and production teams.

MOONBOOT x Mattias Gollin at ComplexCon Las Vegas

A Retro-Futuristic Installation by Coffee House Industries

MOONBOOT x Mattias Gollin at ComplexCon Las Vegas

When MOONBOOT set out to create a standout debut for their latest collaboration with Mattias Gollin at ComplexCon Las Vegas, they partnered with Coffee House Industries to turn a high-concept vision into reality — blending motorsport nostalgia with a futuristic, space-race aesthetic.

The centerpiece: a reimagined 1966 Ford GT, transformed into a retro-futuristic spacecraft with weathered finishes, vintage sponsor graphics, and a hand-fabricated aluminum look. Our team restored, reworked, and refinished the vehicle before wrapping it in custom-printed vinyl and integrating it into a fully immersive environment that felt straight out of a sci-fi pit stop.

From Concept to Completion

Surrounding the car, Coffee House designed and fabricated a complete booth structure featuring corrugated metal walls, diamond-plate flooring, LED truss framing, and a dual video wall system that brought the entire space to life. The rear video wall pulsed with galaxy-inspired motion graphics, creating the illusion of the Ford GT launching through a warp tunnel, while an additional screen embedded in the product area tied the space together through synchronized lighting and color.

Each display unit highlighting the Mattias Gollin capsule collection — including apparel, signature boots, and a full astronaut suit — was custom-built with metal framing, color-lit interiors, and precision LED detailing to echo the booth’s futuristic tone and craftsmanship.

Built Overnight at ComplexCon

Our crew completed the installation overnight in Las Vegas, executing the full build with precision and efficiency under a tight deadline. By morning, the booth stood as one of the most eye-catching activations on the convention floor — a seamless blend of creative vision, engineering, and fabrication expertise.

Precision, Detail, and Creative Execution

Every element — from CNC cutting and printed graphics to lighting integration, video wall programming, and scenic finishing — was handled in-house by Coffee House Industries. The result was a striking, transportive environment that reflected MOONBOOT’s imaginative storytelling and our commitment to turning ambitious ideas into unforgettable experiences.

The Power of Previsualization: Why 3D Design Saves Time and Money

When it comes to scenic fabrication, there’s no room for guesswork. With tight deadlines, high expectations, and complex creative ideas, projects can quickly go off track without a clear roadmap. That’s where previsualization comes in—a critical step that helps align creative vision with practical execution.

At Coffee House Industries, we rely on 3D design, CAD drafting, and visual rendering to eliminate ambiguity, reduce costly errors, and streamline the entire build process. Whether you’re staging a film, launching a brand activation, or designing a trade show booth, previsualization is how we turn ideas into reality—with precision, speed, and confidence.

    What Is Previsualization?

Previsualization (or “previz”) is the process of digitally modeling a set or scenic environment before it’s physically built. Using programs like SketchUp, Rhino, AutoCAD, and Adobe Suite, we create 3D models, renderings, and technical drawings that give everyone—from designers and producers to fabricators and clients—a clear, shared understanding of the final product.

These visual tools serve as both a creative reference and a technical blueprint, showing how every element will look, fit, and function before construction begins.

    Why Previsualization Matters

    1. It Aligns Everyone From the Start

When everyone can see the design in 3D, there’s less room for misinterpretation. Creative directors can confirm the visual intent, production teams can assess logistics, and clients can approve details with full clarity.

    2. It Saves Time in Fabrication

3D models allow us to create accurate cut lists, material estimates, and shop drawings. Our CNC, laser, and foam cutting teams can work directly from these plans, reducing manual calculations and fabrication errors.

    3. It Prevents Costly Mistakes

Identifying issues early—whether it’s a clearance problem, scale miscalculation, or material incompatibility—can save thousands of dollars and days of rework. Previz lets us course-correct before the build ever starts.

    4. It Helps Clients Visualize Their Investment

Not everyone speaks “shop talk.” Previsualization helps non-technical clients clearly see what they’re getting, how it will look in context, and how it aligns with their vision and brand.

    Our Previsualization Workflow

    1. Conceptual Design Review
We start by reviewing sketches, mood boards, and brand materials to define the overall vision.
    2. 3D Modeling & Drafting
Our design team creates detailed 3D models and CAD drawings showing scale, structure, finishes, and scenic elements.
    3. Renderings & Approvals
We provide photorealistic or stylized renderings for client review and feedback. Revisions are quick and collaborative.
    4. Technical Shop Drawings
Once approved, we translate the 3D model into fabrication-ready documents and material lists for our builders.

    Previsualization in Action: Real Results

When working with clients like Hulu, Netflix, and The Macallan, previsualization has helped us deliver complex builds with speed and accuracy. From immersive tasting events to branded content stages and film sets, having a 3D model from the beginning allows us to move fast—without sacrificing detail or quality.

For one recent activation, previsualization saved us over 40 hours in redesign time by identifying a ceiling height conflict before the truck was even loaded. In another, it allowed our client to virtually “walk through” their pop-up before signing off, ensuring that everything from sightlines to signage felt just right.

    The Bottom Line

Previsualization isn’t just a design tool—it’s a production strategy. It minimizes risk, speeds up build time, and ensures better results across the board. At Coffee House Industries, it’s standard practice on every major project we take on.

Want to see your next set or environment before it’s even built? Let’s start with a rendering—and build from there.

How to Design a Set That’s Both Beautiful and Buildable

Designing a set that turns heads is one thing. Designing a set that looks stunning and can actually be built, transported, installed, and used safely? That’s the real magic. At Coffee House Industries, we specialize in bridging the gap between creative vision and practical execution. We’ve seen it all—from blue-sky ideas that push the boundaries of imagination to ultra-tight deadlines that demand fast, flexible thinking.

The best scenic designs don’t just exist in renderings—they come to life through thoughtful engineering, smart material choices, and tight collaboration between design and fabrication teams.

    Where Beauty Meets Buildability

A beautifully designed set serves its purpose by captivating the viewer, supporting the story, and enhancing the experience. But if that design hasn’t been considered through the lens of fabrication, it can lead to unnecessary cost, delays, or even safety issues.

That’s why we approach every project with two equally important goals:

    1. Honor the creative vision
    2. Engineer it to work in the real world

We believe you shouldn’t have to sacrifice aesthetics for practicality—or vice versa. When done right, scenic design is both inspiring and rock-solid.

Step One: Collaborative Design From the Start

Our process begins with early collaboration. Whether you’re an art director, producer, or brand lead, we’ll review your concept and provide real-time feedback on materials, structure, and execution. Our design team works in SketchUp, AutoCAD, Rhino, and Adobe Suite to produce detailed 3D models, CAD drawings, and fabrication-ready renderings.

Together, we’ll evaluate the scale, construction needs, and creative priorities to make sure the design not only looks amazing but also makes logistical sense.

Step Two: Smart Materials and Modular Thinking

Choosing the right materials can make or break a build—literally. We balance visual requirements with weight, cost, and durability. For instance, a wood veneer may look identical to solid hardwood but is significantly lighter and easier to handle on-site. We often design modular scenic pieces that can break down into manageable sections for easy transport, fast installation, and efficient strike.

We also build with reusability in mind whenever possible. Panels, framing, and scenic skins can be repurposed across multiple activations—saving time, money, and materials.

Step Three: Previsualization That Eliminates Surprises

Before we build, we visualize. Using 3D modeling and rendering, we provide clients with clear, comprehensive previews of their set from every angle. These visuals allow stakeholders to spot potential changes before fabrication begins—saving time, minimizing waste, and ensuring the final result matches expectations exactly.

This stage is especially valuable when working with complex builds, multiple departments, or tight turnarounds. It aligns everyone from designers to installers on what’s being built—and how it will all come together.

Step Four: Build With Experience, Install With Confidence

With decades of experience in scenic construction for film, television, live events, and brand activations, our team knows how to deliver both artistry and structural integrity. We fabricate every element in-house using our CNC machines, laser cutters, large-format printers, and a full team of expert builders and scenic painters.

And when it’s time to install? We bring the same attention to detail on site—ensuring that the set fits the space, holds up under use, and looks just as good in person as it did in the render.

Final Thoughts: The Best Builds Start With the Right Design Approach

A set that’s both beautiful and buildable doesn’t happen by accident. It’s the result of clear communication, thoughtful planning, and technical expertise. At Coffee House Industries, we’re not just builders—we’re creative problem solvers who know how to bring ambitious ideas to life without compromising quality, safety, or vision.

Got a bold idea? Let’s design it the smart way—and build it even better.
